Our horse riding activity will start with a welcome drink (sangria, sparkling orange drink or water). Straight after that you will have time to visit the Rancho Grande Park where we have over 100 horses, donkeys, mules, the cow called Maria, Mallorcan black pigs and their little piglets, as well as some exotic animals: iguana, ostriches, lamas, playful little monkeys, colourful Ara parrots and a beautiful Cockatoo called Shakira.
Then it will be time to head to the stables so you can saddle up and get started with the horse riding. You will be horse riding around the vast ranch lands where you will enjoy the lovely views and will have a great experience. The riders are organised into groups depending on your riding abilities. The groups are as follows and you can choose which you prefer (you don't have to specify in the booking):
- Turbo - ONLY for experienced riders with a minimum of three years (canter/gallop) hacking experience.
- Mini Turbo - This group involves of trotting, therefore you should have at least one year riding experience.
- Automatic - This group is for the people with very little or no experience at all.
We have plenty of double saddles, which means that children can ride on the same horse as an adult. The total duration of the horse riding is approximately 60 minutes so you have plenty of time to make the most out of the ride and the unforgettable experience of riding in Mallorcan fields.
On arrival back at the ranch you will be served a BBQ dinner (Mallorcan style) which will consist of:
- Spicy chicken kebab on a stick
- Pork chops
- Salad
- Jacket potato
- Typical Mallorcan bread with garlic mayonnaise
- Ice-cream
- Drinks are included during the dinner –and yu cn choose from: wine, sangria, sparkling orange drink and water
- (A vegetarian option is also available: vegetarian burguer)
After dinner everyone is welcomed to the charmful all fresco patio to sing and dance along to our LIVE MUSIC as well as to learn at least one LINE DANCE. At the end of the evening a beautiful experience not to be missed -The Equestrian SHOW performed by Javier Simon and his team.
Rancho Grande BBQ Night Reviews
Loved this ,would definitely do it again ,I went on the horse and my Paton the coach, were there was a big bucket of sangria, loved the way the guides rode up and down checking we were ok and making cowboy shouts ,one was even stood on his horse while it was walking ,food was lovely entertainment was brilliant, and staff were so helpful and friendly 😊
Picked up by a mini van with Ranch Grande on it so it was easy to spot. Pick up point was easy to find and close to hotel. After picking up other people on route, we arrived at the ranch and offered Sangria or Fanta. It was a bit chaotic as we were unsure what was going on as there was a group leaving and lots of people other people standing around as well. This experience is made up of lots of other groups arriving in mini buses. Eventually we were split into language groups and they then explained how the evening would go - which was helpful. The riding split into those who could ride, beginners and those who wanted to do the wagon journey. We were given hair nets to put on under the helmets (which I thought was very good). The ride lasted about an hour and was fun going around the ranch and through the trees. The staff rode along side encouraging you (beginners) so you felt safe. There was a singer afterwards and then food - which consisted of chicken skewer to start with followed by a huge jacket potato and some salad and then a piece of steak pork. It was a little slow bringing out food a bit at a time. But it was all cooked and tasty. Seconds available. Plenty of sangria on the table along with wine and Fanta. More singing and line dancing and flamenco dancer. This was followed by a fire dancer - who was very good and a horse act.
This was a great evening. But take a jumper as it gets cold. We were picked up in a mini bus with Rancho Grande written on it so easy to spot and the pick up point was a 2 minute walk from our hotel and easy to find. The Horse riding was great and catered for those who have never been on a Horse to those who could trot, canter etc. Plus a wagon if you did not want to go on the horse ( a wild west experience). The food - basic, Lump of meat (pork steak) a huge jacket potato and chicken skewers and salad. All cooked very well and tasty. Plenty of free drink, sangria and Fanta plus you could purchase beer if you wanted. They do take photos I brought one for 12 euros but you are not pressured to do so. The shows were a good mix of flamenco, fire sticks and horse performances. There is a singer whilst you are waiting for the food after the horse riding and then some line dancing after the food before the other acts. The only let down was that it was a bit disorganised when we arrived and you were not sure where to go, especially as there was a big group getting ready to leave. But after they left the owners and ranch hands split us into language groups to tell us how the evening was going to go so we new what to expect.
Fabulous two hour hack at Rancho Grande on the beautiful Furio. I have always wanted to ride an Andulucian, so for me a dream come true. Thank to the guys who helped me get on and off again, it's been 16 years since I last rode and at 66 years old I thought i would never ride again. The stag are very knowledgable and friendly, my guide was Lucas, I felt very safe. They Tailor the horse to your ability and just as importantly they really care about their very well trained horses. Will definately be back nextt year.
This is a great place the entertainment was fantastic, lovely food plenty of sangria and wine and soft drinks for the children , rode a horse for the first time and will definitely be doing it again ,
What an amazing place can't reccomend enough.great atmosphere and even more amazing food , after you've been on your horse ride and eaten you can walk around the ranch and explore to see the other animals they have , great evening out ,
We booked to have a horse riding with our children. It was a lovely well looked after ranch and the instructors spoke English. My son knows how to ride a horse and could gallop on his own The Rancho is great for kids since they have parrots, and other animals for the kids to see and feed. They also have a playground so children can play and have fun,
