Join us at Nofrills Excursions on our unique full day trip to the valley of Soller and Valldemossa.
This trip will take us first to Valldemossa, where you can stroll through the peaceful cobbled streets or relax and enjoy a coffee while you devour one of the local delicacies such as the 'coca de patatas' (small potato-based sponge cake) as at this time of the day we usually have the charming town to ourselves. You can join our guide for a relaxed walk around the streets or visit at your own pace the Carthusian Monastery and the famous composer Chopin's House (entrances are not included in the price).
After Valldemossa, we board the coach for a delightful sightseeing ride through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which has been named world heritage site and is protected by UNESCO. We will pass the picturesque towns of Llucalcari and Deia. Have your camera ready, as our next stop is the pretty town of Soller.
The spectacular Valley of Soller is famous for its splendid orange and lemon groves, as well as its quaint, original tram ride, which is included in the price. Visiting these areas will allow you to discover the island's most natural beauty, making you fall in love with the precious landscapes you will be witnessing throughout the day.
We will arrive in Soller Valley at around 13:30. First we will visit the old village of Soller where you can take a pleasant walk to see the most important landmarks of the village such as the main square, Can Prunera Museum, Soller's modernist-style bank, the church of Soller and many more interesting places. If you like art, you can also have a look at the Picasso Ceramic Museum. We will be staying in Soller for about 90 minutes and there will be enough time for lunch (not included). In the town of Soller you will find a wide range of cafes and restaurants where you can eat anything from typical Mallorcan dishes, a menu of the day or just a quick bite.
You will also have time to relax in Soller as you enjoy an orange juice or an orange ice cream both a must in this valley famous for its delicious oranges.
At around 15:00 we will take the tram to go to Port of Soller, the tram ride takes about 25 minutes.
In the Port of Soller you will have about one hour free time so that you can stroll around and explore this charming natural port and, after visiting this place, our coach will take us back to resorts.
Reviews for the Valldemossa and Soller tour
Very informative trip with Angela & her driver, very well organised and we had great time.
A fantastic excursion recently to Valldemossa and Soller/Puerto Soller. Our guide, Catalina was lovely, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour! She engaged the passengers with her stories and her excellent local knowledge of Majorca and it's history. Would have liked slightly more time in both Valldemossa and Soller old town as not really enough time to properly explore both places especially when arriving at lunchtime in Soller. Puerto Soller was like a picture postcard, truly idyllic and would definitely return. Fernando, our driver, handled the twisting, narrow mountain roads with ease and both he and Catalina made this a wonderful day trip seeing some of the hidden and most beautiful parts of Majorca!
Everything was perfect. Doria the guide was great!
The trip was very enjoyable. Plenty of time at each stop. Knowledgable and attentive guide. The return journey was 30 mins later than time suggested. That was a bit disappointing.
It was great, The guide Doria was very Professional. I recommend this trip.
The trip was very nice! Interesting stories and very nicely guide, relaxed buss. More time in Valldemossa would be great.
The guide (Louis) was friendly and knowledgeable. Clear instructions and friendly driver of the 116. We had to pay 4 adults but would be better value if there was a family reduction.
Wonderful trip to Valldemosa and Soller with excellent commentary from our guide Antonia. Highly recommended!!
No Frills day trip to Valdemmossa, Soller and Port de Soller by Bus and Tram We were picked up at 9.20am about 100m from our hotel in Puerto Pollenca, clear instructions and a link to a map of this location was sent to us prior to the departure day. The coach arrived within a few minutes of the scheduled pickup time. The coach was clean, comfortable and air conditioned, the driver Fernando was in charge of avoiding obstacles on the mountain roads. There was an excellent multi-lingual commentary by our informative guide Jeannine during the journey. The trip was well organised and I would definitely recommend it if you wish to visit the UNESCO World Heritage area of Serra de Tramuntana and see some of the prettiest villages in Mallorca including Valdemossa and Soller. Both villages were busy being a Saturday in July, but it wasn’t difficult to explore away from the crowds. On this day we had 1.5h in Valldemossa, 1.5h in Soller, and 35m In Port de Soller. There was sufficient time to visit the attractions in town or explore the surrounding countryside, I walked to Moli de sa Beata for the excellent views of Valldemossa. (I will include some photos from this path either with this review if I am allowed or on Google review). The return journey to Puerto Pollenca took quite a long time as other passengers were dropped off in Can Picafort and Alcudia, we returned to our hotel in Puerto Pollensa at about 6pm. There is an alternative, that is the Island Tour which I did on a previous occasion. This included a train ride and ferry, an exciting drive down to Sa Calabra and a chance to walk over to the entrance to Torrent de Paries, however the island Tour does not include Valdemmossa which is very special. Do both if you have time, can afford it, and want a break from the beach!
Excellent excursion. Great guide and driver, Jeannine and Fernando. Very hot day but coach nice and comfortable with air con. Got to see beautiful areas of the island & decent amount of time at all stops Would recommend this day out .
