The visit inside the Caves of Drach lasts just over an hour and it includes a memorable classical music concert on Lake Martel, considered to be one of the biggest and most spectacular underground lakes in the world. After the concert you have the possibility (included in the price) of taking a short boat ride across the lake, making this a very unique experience.
The Caves of Drach is one of the most popular attractions in Mallorca and for good reason. That's why it is important to visit on a tour where the tickets are prebooked on your behalf, to ensure you get one of the limited places. Our package also includes return transport and you can read about the pick-up options below. You will have a knowledgeable official guide with you on the journey who will give you information about the beautiful inland area of Mallorca and the countryside you will pass though. Your guide will also give you top tips for visiting the caves, things to look for and what not to miss. They will make sure that you plan your visit in the best way to optimise your time inside the Caves of Drach.
The first part of the visit inside the caves is on foot, as you walk through the different chambers, discovering a different world. The stalactites and stalagmites are enhanced in a sublime way by the magical lighting planned and set in place by the engineer Carlos Buigas, giving an eerie and mysterious air to the caves. There is a guide inside the caves who will point out the different rock formations, formed over centuries of seeping water erosion, so it's time to use your imagination and see if you can see the witch, the flag or the Lake Diana.
Once you reach the famous Lake Martel, you will take a seat in the natural underground amphitheatre, where you will hear classical music played by musicians on boats gently gliding on the lake in a dramatic show of light and music. This area has been turned into a theatre thanks to the quality of its natural accoustics.
When the show is over, you will have the opportunity to cross the lake on one of the boats. Or you can choose to walk around the edge of the lake to take photos if you prefer. The boat ride is included in the price and you will have enough time to participate, even if there is a queue. You will also have time once you leave the caves to have a coffee or beer at the cafe by the caves or to take a stroll through the grounds and use the restrooms and check out the souvenir shop.
You will have the chance to see the famous Majorica Pearls Exhibition, as there is an establishment from this emblematic Mallorcan company right by the Caves of Drach, so those who wish to visit will be able to. There you will see an interesting exibition of this product which is unique to Mallorca. You can browse the selection of jellewery ranging from the most classical items to the latest collections. Don't miss out on the opportunity to buy products at outlet prices.
Please note: the visit to the pearl outlet is completely optional. We understand that this visit is not for everyone despite its popularity. Your guide will explain to those wishing to visit how to get there and where to wait to be picked up again.
