The visit inside the Caves of Drach lasts just over an hour and it includes a memorable classical music concert on Lake Martel, considered to be one of the biggest and most spectacular underground lakes in the world. After the concert you have the possibility (included in the price) of taking a short boat ride across the lake, making this a very unique experience.
The Caves of Drach is one of the most popular attractions in Mallorca and for good reason. The first part of the visit is on foot, as you walk through the different chambers, discovering a different world. The stalactites and stalagmites are enhanced in a sublime way by the magical lighting planned and set in place by the engineer Carlos Buigas, giving an eerie and mysterious air to the caves. There is a guide inside the caves who will point out the different rock formations, formed over centuries of seeping water erosion, so it's time to use your imagination and see if you can see the witch, the flag or the Lake Diana.
Once you reach the famous Lake Martel, you will take a seat in the natural underground amphitheatre, where you will hear classical music played by musicians on boats gently gliding on the lake in a dramatic show of light and music. This area has been turned into a theatre thanks to the quality of its natural accoustics.
When the show is over, you will have the opportunity to cross the lake on one of the boats. Or you can choose to walk around the edge of the lake to take photos if you prefer. The boat ride is included in the price and you will have enough time to participate, even if there is a queue. You will also have time once you leave the caves to have a coffee or beer at the cafe by the caves or to take a stroll through the grounds and use the restrooms and check out the souvenir shop.
