While on holiday you should never have to compromise, that's why we have added this outing to our selection of excursions. This half day excursion to the Caves of Drach has been especially thought out for those who simply don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of visiting the spectacular Porto Cristo Caves of Drach but have limited time on the island or would just rather spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool soaking up the sun.
Once we have everybody on board our air conditioned coach, we will make our way inland and drive through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast, where the Caves of Drach are located and where you will live an experience to cherish.
The visit inside the Caves of Drach has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern is bigger than the last and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat (optional). This boat ride is a unique once in a lifetime experience and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.
On this half day excursion you will also have the opportunity to visit the world famous Majorica Pearls and purchase gifts or simply treat yourself at special prices, as there is a shop from this iconic Mallorcan establishment right by the Caves of Drach. The visit to Majorica Pearls is completely optional. Then it will be time to get back on the coach to return to resort, giving you plenty of time to relax by the swimming pool or head to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day's sun rays.
Customer Reviews for the Caves of Drach Half-Day Tour
Great experience! Loved the caves and the no frills staff were amazing!
The tours was really good. Our guide Katharina was very knowledgeable. Made the journey great. Had lots of fun. Didn't end up doing the boat trip in caves though as the queue was very big
We really enjoyed the trip. The bus was modern and well equipped and Ester was a fantastic host, combining information, advice and humour in equal measure!
Pick up time was 9:30. I was at the meet up point at 9:27. I waited 15 min, till i texted them where the bus is. They told me they left before and that i have to book it again. I couldn't because od my flight and i got a full refund within a few hours. Communication was great, but it was baf, that they left before me.
This was a brilliant excursion - the caves are amazing, and definitely recommend a visit! The guide, Ester, was also brilliant, so enthusiastic and friendly, she was concerned that her English was not good, but she spoke very well and perfectly clearly.
Everything was great!
Experience at the caves was amazing. We took our 2 year old and 7 year old and they were amazed. The concert was something that just couldn’t be replicated anywhere. The guide katarina was really clear with her instructions and the trip was exactly as described on the website. So glad we did this trip.
Thoroughly enjoyed the excursion to Drach caves today. Ester was excellent and a great tour guide, kept us informed about what the excursion would involve and include as well as meeting us whilst we queue for entry to the caves, then greeted us at exit of the caves, we had around 1hr free time to do whatever you want and then get back on the bus for the return journey. Juanjo was a excellent safe driver and took his passengers comfortably to the Drach caves and also returned safely too. Would highly recommend this tour and no frills excursions for future trips. Derek and Belinda. X
Picked up right on time by our driver lolo, did a few more pick ups before our lovely guide Evette boarded the bus. Evette was very welcoming and friendly and talked us through the itinerary several times before we got to the caves. The caves are a must see, truly amazing experience and the concert within was magical. We opted to go in the boat for the short journey along the lake which is recommend if you are able. We've used no frills several times while on holiday here and it's always been a smooth experience and would highly recommend them to any visitors looking to book a tour.
Drive down to caves was smooth, caves were impressive and worth a visit. The queue for the boats could have been managed better, but didn’t detract. Could do with extending by an hour to give more time in Porto Cristo. But a good day and great excursion when in Majorca.
