This boat trip from Alcudia to Formentor is operated on a comfortable modern glass bottom boat, designed to offer both panoramic sea views and underwater observation during the journey. The route crosses the Bay of Alcudia and follows the northern coastline of Mallorca, gradually revealing the dramatic cliffs and natural landscapes of the Formentor peninsula, where the Sierra de Tramuntana meets the sea.
As the boat cruises along the coast, you will pass hidden coves, rocky inlets and crystal-clear waters that are inaccessible by road. Thanks to the submarine vision area, you can look beneath the surface to observe fish and marine vegetation without entering the water, making this a particularly enjoyable experience for families and anyone interested in Mallorca’s marine environment.
A key moment of the excursion is the photo stop at Cap de Formentor, one of the most iconic viewpoints on the island. From the sea, you will have a unique perspective of this famous headland, ideal for taking memorable photos of the cliffs, lighthouse area and open Mediterranean.
The boat then stops at Formentor Beach, where you will enjoy approximately one hour of free time. During this stop, you can swim in the clear waters, relax on the sand, snorkel close to the shore or simply take in the natural beauty of one of Mallorca’s most famous beaches. After the beach break, the boat returns to Alcudia following the same scenic route, allowing you to continue enjoying the coastline from the sea in a relaxed and comfortable way.
Reviews for the Boat Trip from Alcudia to Formentor
I am deeply let down by this excursion and the agency's customer care. The trip was chaotic, with no seating management, leaving passengers to hog multiple spaces with luggage. Because of this, my family had to sit on the stairs and on the front deck for the entire trip. If it were just adults, it wouldn't have been as miserable, but doing this with children was completely exhausting. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the views, we spent the time stressfully looking for a place to sit. We have been on many cruises before, including in the UK, and even with large crowds, we never experienced such poor organization. When you complain about spending a €120 family trip on the stairs, Nofrills Excursions will not offer a real apology. They will send you a cold email from their "legal department" claiming everything was fine because it complied with regulations. They care about their system numbers, not the actual reality of hard-working families on board. We will never book a cruise with them again.
This excursion is ideal if you want to visit Formentor Beach without the hassle of driving there. We stayed outside the north area but drove to Alcudia on a Sunday as suggested, visited the local market in the morning, and then hopped on the boat at 11:15. The modern boat offers amazing panoramic sea views, and the crew onboard was extremely polite and helpful. We spent a wonderful hour swimming in the crystal-clear waters before returning. It’s a very relaxed 4.5-hour experience and everything included in the price felt very fair.
A very well-coordinated excursion along the northern coastline of Mallorca. We appreciated receiving the second email with the exact pier location, which made boarding at the Port of Alcudia very straightforward. Seeing the marine life through the underwater windows was highly enjoyable, and the one hour of free time at Formentor Beach was just enough time for a relaxing stroll. It is a highly commendable local company for those wanting a stress-free coastal trip.
We boarded at the Ciudad Blanca area and the organization was flawless from start to finish. The glass bottom boat is very comfortable and the photo stop at Cap de Formentor gives you breathtaking views of the cliffs that you can't get from the road. The crew on the boat was super friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. Excellent value for money for a half-day trip!
Skipped the annoying traffic and parking rules by booking this boat trip to Formentor with NoFrills. The submarine vision was cool and the beach stop was exactly what we needed.
It was okay, boat was delayed picking us up from Port D’Alcudia. Be aware if you’re getting on here there is already a few stops before so the boat was already full and upstairs seat taken. Advice to management - please turn the music down on the boat!!! Honestly my head hurt so bad afterwards and if you suffer from sea sickness it’s a long long very painful journey with either pitbull or spanish songs on repeat plus max volume (not relaxing one bit). Also Port D’Alcudia is the last stop on the way back so in total took 4.5 hours.
Outstanding excursion , i struggle with mobility and the staff on board couldnt have helped me any more if they tried , the children had an outstanding trip and the views around the mountains are to die for , memories for a lifetime
The trip was great! Booking was easy, and the response was quick.
Excellent excursion with fantastic views and facilities on board the boat. Sadly we were told to go to a jetty on Muto beach but were then told we needed to wait for a taxi to be moved to a different jetty. This meant our boys had to wash sand off their feet and put socks and shoes on to walk through what resembled a building site, to get to the taxi. The taxi was dirty and hot. Such a shame for what could have been a 5* review had we not have been misinformed when booking. Worth checking.
Great boat trip from Alcudia to Formentor with glass bottom views and free time at the beach.
