This boat trip to Cap Formentor and Formentor Beach offers a scenic 4-hour journey along the most spectacular coastline of northern Mallorca. The excursion departs from the Port of Alcudia, where you will begin sailing across Alcudia Bay, enjoying wide open sea views and the contrast between calm waters and the mountainous coastline ahead.
During the first part of the route, the boat passes the elegant area of Alcanada, allowing you to admire its small island and lighthouse from the sea. As the journey continues, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, revealing steep limestone cliffs, hidden coves and untouched coastal scenery that can only be fully appreciated from the water.
One of the highlights of the excursion is sailing past Coll Baix beach, a remote and wild cove surrounded by cliffs, often considered one of the most unspoilt beaches in Mallorca. From here, the boat enters Pollensa Bay, where the coastline rises sharply and the views become even more impressive.
The route then reaches Cap Formentor, one of Mallorca’s most iconic landmarks. From the boat, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the towering cliffs, rugged rock formations and the famous Formentor Lighthouse, perched high above the sea. This stretch of the journey offers some of the best panoramic photo opportunities of the entire excursion.
After enjoying the views of Cap Formentor, the boat continues to Formentor Beach, where you will stop for approximately one hour of free time. Here, you can swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, relax on the beach or simply enjoy the natural surroundings before the boat begins its return journey to Alcudia Bay, offering a final chance to admire the coastline from a different perspective.
Customer Reviews for the Boat Trip to Formentor Lighthouse
Excellent boat trip to Cap Formentor with stunning coastal views and a relaxing swim at Formentor Beach.
We booked the Cap Formentor boat trip with NoFrills Excursions and everything went smoothly. Great views, clear information and a lovely swimming stop at Formentor Beach.
This boat trip to Cap Formentor was one of the highlights of our stay in Mallorca. Seeing the cliffs and the Formentor Lighthouse from the sea was incredible, and the stop at Formentor Beach was perfectly timed. A very relaxing and well-organised excursion.
I wish if we could stay longer at the beach. people who was first picked up get better set place, who picked last get to set inside the boat, not fair,
I liket the Trip a lot. I would habe loved to stay longer at the beach and would have eben prepared for the great View so i Put in my sein glasses to Watch the fishes
We had a lovely trip. Nice boat and Lots of food to buy. Love to have more time on the beach.
Superbe excursion on s'est régalé équipage très gentil et souriant un super moment en famille
We were collected at the 3rd pick-up in Alcudia and the upstairs seating was already full. Sitting inside down the stairs was like sitting in a canteen. We opted to stand at the front but it was extremely busy and if you moved at all, someone took your space. The boat was very over-crowded. We were disappointed not to get the opportunity to stop and swim, especially when there was a slide on the back of the boat. Formentor, although beautiful, was very over-crowded. The trip was not worth the money for a family of 5.
Nice boat trip. You see the rock coast of the northern part of the island and it takes an hour from port Alcudia to reach formentor beach. We had a 75 minute stop which is fine to have a quick dive into the crystal clear water. Then off to cap fermontor where you can see the Lighthouse from a distance. Obviously the boat cannot come more close and it is on a cliff so a few minutes is enough to take some pictures. Then back to the pick up points. No explanation during the trip on what you see on board. And luckily no loud music as you sometimes see with other boats. We enjoyed it!
First of all I want to thank the WhatsApp manager. They replied to my message right away and helped with the pick up spot. However sailing on a boat was very boring, the capitan didn’t turn on any music. We stopped only for 50 min at the Formentor Bay at the beach and then the crew told us that the weather conditions was bad so we would not go to Cap Formentor. People on board were really disappointed. I was expecting to have so much fun on that boat trip, but it didn’t go that way.
