Port de Alcudia is a very popular resort in the north of Mallorca, and a very popular destination for holidaymakers coming to Mallorca. Finding things to do in Port de Alcudia is very easy at nofrills-excursions, as you will find in our website many tours, day trips, activities and suggestions about what to do in Alcudia.
Alcudia is a coast resort so it has many options related to things to do at the sea. Our first suggestion is a boat or catamaran trip. The bay of Alcudia is the biggest bay in Mallorca, and from the Port of Alcudia there are many options for boat trips: a boat trip to Formentor beach, a speed boat, a scenic cruise to Formentor lighthouse…
For those who prefer a catamaran trip, the Anacaona catamaran offers a great value for money catamaran tour with 3 snorkelling stops, activities such as kayaking and stand up paddle and a delicious lunch with drinks.
If you are looking for something different to do from Port de Alcudia, we recommend you a dolphin watching trip. This trip is been very popular during the last season, and it combines the sunrise and dolphin spotting, so you can see dolphins swimming in wild in the waters of the Bay of Alcudia. A well worth excursion!
Alcudia beach is another great suggestion, and there are many things to do there: to relax sunbathing, to swim in its crystal waters, to take the 2 hours glass bottom boat or to do a jet ski tour, amongst other water activities. It is also nice to explore the surroundings of Alcudia, where you can find some small beaches such as Aucanada, Sant Joan, Manresa, Illot… These are least known beaches but beautiful, so consider visiting them.
Port de Alcudia is situated within walking distance from Alcudia old town, a place that deserves a visit. In Alcudia old town there are many things to do and to visit: the old walls, Alcudia church, the Roman city of Pollentia, the town hall… Don’t forget every Tuesday and Sunday, Alcudia has a local market from 9 until 14:00. You can easily reach Alcudia from the Port by local public bus.
A great way to see the resort and the old town is the open top bus tour that runs daily and does a tour in the resort, the port and the old town with live commentary.
A very interesting day trip for those who love walking and nature is La Victoria Peninsula, where you can find some well signed walks. We recommend the walk to the top of the Atalaya. This is a very easy walk that will reward you with great views of Port de Alcudia, the bay of Alcudia, the bay of Pollensa and sometimes the coastline of Menorca Island. A good idea is to combine the walk with a visit to one of the beaches in the area.
Although Alcudia is not famous for its nightlife it is a great place to enjoy yourself after dark. Here are some of our recommendations for places to go when the sun goes down and sometimes leave when the sun comes back again: the Magic disco complex, the Enjoy pub and the Marina area. If you are looking for a great night out in the party resort of Magalluf, an option is to join the Magalluf Party bus that runs every Wednesday leaving the Alcudia resort at around 20:00 and getting back at around 06:00.
Port de Alcudia has a wide offer in restaurants and places where to eat out. Being a touristic resort, there is always something for everybody, from local cuisine to international cuisine or fast food. If you are on holiday, we recommend you to try the mallorca cuisine, and a place we really like is Can Costa in Alcudia old town. If you want something special, go to the Bistro of the Jardin, a really nice place with great food. And if you want something special, in Port de Alcudia you can find a 1 star Michelin restaurant: Maca de Castro. It offers an outstanding menu and one of the best wine services in Mallorca. There are some great restaurants in Playa de Muro too, which is right next door to Puerto de Alcudia.
In Mallorca there are only 3 water parks, and one of them is situated in the resort of Port de Alcudia. It is the Hidropark, and despite being the smallest water park in Mallorca, it offers a great variety of water slides, a wave pool and many areas for children. Other water parks in Mallorca are situated in the south area of the island, and these are the Aqualand Arenal (the biggest water park with some of the best water slides) and the Western Water Park (a theme style water park with lots of water slides and a great choice to spend a day in the water). To both of them, we organise bus tours that include pick up at the hotels in Port Alcudia and the entrance to the water park.
From Alcudia, we have different excursions and tours to take you to the most visited attractions and tourist places in Mallorca. Some examples of the tours we offer are: the tour to the Caves of Drach, the Island tour, a bus to Palma, a visit to Formentor area with open top bus and ferry… On this page, you can find above all the suggestions, and by clicking on the photo, you have more details, photos, reviews, videos… For families with children, Alcudia has many things to do and there are many trips to friendly family attractions such as marineland, Aquarium, Katmandu Park…
The number of boat trips offered in Alcudia is immense, with something for everyone: whether you want a short boat trip around the bay on a glass bottom fun cruise or a full day out on a luxurious sailing boat. The choice is endless.
Alcudia Bay is the best bay to sail from, with amazing views, stunning coastline, crystal clear waters and a generally calm sea.
Some of the best boat trips in Alcudia for families include the different boat tours that depart from the wooden jetties along the beach and from the main harbour in the port. These are daily pleasure boat tours and are ideal for families with different aged members to please. The most simple boat trip is the 2 hour glass bottom boat tour around the bay of Alcudia departing various times of the day and with a brief swim stop in Es Coll Baix cove, a stunning location that is otherwise very difficult to reach. The other great glass bottom boat trip also departs daily in summertime and leaves Alcudia Bay, crossing over to Pollensa Bay and with a stop at the wonderful Formentor Beach.
If you are looking for something a little more exclusive or complete, take a tour on a sailing catamaran from Alcudia Bay, on a five hour excursion including lunch and plenty of time for swimming, snorkelling and kayak. You can help the crew hoist the sail, relax on the catamaran's nets and swim in the perfectly clear waters of Cala Den Gossalba, a hidden cove close to Formentor. Otherwise you can take a small boat tour just for your family on one of the typical wooden boats from Mallorca, on which your captain will take you to stunning coves for swimming and snorkelling and which includes lunch, drinks, stand up paddle, and fishing.
In Alcudia, families can embark on a delightful mix of coastal and nature experiences.
