The bay of Alcudia, where Playa de Muro lies, is a perfect place for activities related to the sea. Our first suggestion is a boat or catamaran trip. In Mallorca there are only 3 water parks, and one of them is situated in the resort of Port de Alcudia. It is the Hidropark, and despite being the smallest water park in Mallorca, it offers a great variety of water slides, a wave pool and many areas for children. You can easily get there by taxi or by local bus.
Other water parks in Mallorca are situated in the south area of the island, and these are the Aqualand Arenal (the biggest water park with some of the best water slides) and the Western Water Park (a theme style water park with lots of water slides and a great choice to spend a day in the water). To both of them, we organise bus tours that include pick up at the hotels in Port Alcudia and the entrance to the water park.
The beach in Playa de Muro is fantastic. It is a long wide sandy beach and the sea is not very deep. There are many things to do there: to relax sunbathing, to swim in its crystal waters, to take the 2 hours glass bottom boat or to do a jet ski tour, amongst other water activities.
Or you can just spend the day relaxing on one of the sunbeds, getting in and out of the water as you please, building sand castles or making the huge effort to stroll to one of the beach bars for a snack or cocktail!

After your sightseeing, relax in the main square where you will find a concentration of nice restaurants bars and ice creeam parlours.

A very interesting day trip for those who love walking and nature is to the Albufera nature park area. S’Albufera is the largest and most important wetland area in the Balearics, is a former lagoon separated from the sea by a belt of dunes, which for many centuries – but especially in the last two as a result of human influence – has filled up with sediments converting it into an extensive flood plain. The Natural Park affords protection to some 1708 hectares of marshes and dunes.
You can visit the Albufera Natural Park and follow one of the many trails, learn about the different species that inhabitat the area and do a spot of bird watching from one of the hides, which is especially popular in spring and autumn when migratory birds drop in on their way to or from the continent of Africa.
Playa de Muro is not famous for its nightlife or for being a disco resort, so if you are in a party mood you might have to head a bit further away. That's why it's a good idea to take a tour. That way you don't have to worry about geting there and back and don't have to worry about drinking too much! If you are looking for a great night out in the party resort of Magalluf, an option is to join the Magalluf Party bus that runs every week in high season, leaving Playa de Muro at around 20:00 and getting back at around 06:00. If you scene is Arenal, then don't miss the Ballermann Party Bus for a fantastic night out at all the best biergartens and German-style nightclubs.
If you don't want to do the full-blown nightlife bus tour and prefer to stay more local, you can visit the resort of Port de Alcudia where you find the Magic Disco Complex, Menta Disco, the Enjoy Pub and the area around the marina in the port.
Apart from boat trips, there is a lot going on at Playa de Muro Beach and you can take full advantage of the water activities available. Have you ever been parasailing? On a banana boat? Flyboarding? Kayaking? Stand-up-paddle boarding?
