Cala San Vicente is a very quiet and small resort tucked away in the north of Mallorca, that is located in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountain and with three gorgeous beaches. Finding things to do in Cala San Vicente is very easy at nofrills-excursions, as you will find in our website many tours, day trips, activities and suggestions about what to do in Cala San Vicente.
Most people visiting Cala San Vicente are looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of big resorts, but that doesn't mean you don't want to make the most out of your holiday. Here are our top suggestions:
If you like walking, Cala San Vicente is a perfect base. At the tourist information centre you can get a leaflet with different walks to different destinations and for different levels of ability and duration. The walk to Puerto Pollensa is a popular choice for people staying in Cala San vicente, as this is the next resort and, although a longish walk, is relatively easy and is very scenic. This walk takes you away from Cala San Vicente and up over the hills. The Coll de Siller is the highest point and then you descend to Puerto Pollensa, coming out in the Siller area.
Other great walks in the area are: Cala Boquer, Cala San Vicente, the Puig de Maria in Pollensa, walks in Formentor peninsula or the walk to the Lluc monastery. Also from Cala San Vicente there are a few small walks in the area, which are ideal if you are looking for just a short stroll.
The beaches in Cala San Vicente are another great suggestion. We encourage you to explore all of them and to decide which one you like most. Each one is different to the other, and all of them are great for sunbathing and snorkeling. The best beach of all of them is Cala Molins, where the water never seems to get cold and it is normal to see people swimming even in winter. This is the busiest beach then, of course, and it can get quite packed in summer with day trippers. That's why it's a good idea to try all of Cala San Vicente's "calas" and then you will settle on your favourite.
Cala San Vicente is a coastal resort, however, this is a small cove and is difficult to reach from the sea, so the closest departure point for boat and catamaran tours is from the Port of Pollensa which is the ideal place for boat trips, with many attractive places and beaches to stop to swim and snorkel. Most of the operators offer a free pick up service from Cala San Vicente to Port de Pollensa.
On our website we offer the Robinson Boat and Catamaran, both are excellent options for a fun day out at sea, and we get great reviews from clients that join this tour. Both the Robinson Boat and the Robinson Catamaran sail from the harbour at Puerto Pollensa for a fun-packed day of swimming, snorkelling, fishing and sunbathing. lunch is included onboard and there is the opportunity to visit Formentor Beach. There are more boat excursions but these ones offer return transport service from Cala San Vicente.
If you want to do something more exclusive, we have a Mallorcan typical boat with limited places to 12 passengers, including lunch, drinks all day and water activities such as snorkelling, fishing, kayaking or stand-up paddle. Transport from Cala San Vicente is sometimes available too.
There are no boat trips directly from Cala San Vicente so the best options are the ones from Puerto Pollensa.
These Bronze Age Caves are well worth a visit if you are staying in Cala San Vicente. They are very authentic and not very well known. They are certainly a far cry from the other commercialised caves in Mallorca. Here you might need to bring a torch and you are not likely to meet many other people. There are about seven small caves to explore and they are free to visit.
In Mallorca there are only 3 water parks, and one of them is situated in the neighbouring resort of Port de Alcudia. It is the Hidropark, and despite being the smallest water park in Mallorca, it offers a great variety of water slides, a wave pool and many areas for children. You can get there by public bus to Port de Pollensa and then to Port Alcudia, and then a 5 minutes walk. Other water parks in Mallorca are situated in the south area of the island, and these are the Aqualand Arenal (the biggest water park with some of the best water slides) and the Western Water Park (a theme style water park with lots of water slides and a great choice to spend a day in the water). To both of them, we organise bus tours that include pick up at the hotels in Port de Pollensa and the entrance to the water park.
Cala San Vicente is situated just over 6 kilometres away from Pollensa Old Town, a place that deserves a visit. In Pollensa old town there are many things to do and to visit: to walk up the 365 Calvari steps to the chapel at the top from where you will have some of the best Mediterranean panoramic views imaginable; stroll around Pollensa's main square with charming boutique shops, gift shops, cafes and restaurants; visit the municipal museum for a touch of culture and history.
Don’t forget every Sunday, Pollensa has a local market from 9:00 until 14:00. You can easily reach Pollensa from the Port by local public bus or by taxi.
Discover a bit of history together with excellent scenery and nature.
The "Whites Caves" path was built by Republican prisoners during the post-civil war period (1940-1942) and reaches the Coves Blancas site where a coastal battery was to be built with the corresponding magazines dug into the rock.
The walk begins at Avinguda Cavall Bernat in Cala Sant Vicente and the way is well signposted. Take the dirt road that goes through a pine forest, and about five minutes later you reach a gate that marks the beginning of the path to ses Coves Blanques.
From Cala San Vicente, we have different excursions and tours to take you to the most visited attractions and tourist places in Mallorca. Some examples of the tours we offer are: the tour to the Caves of Drach, the Island tour, a bus to Palma, or a beautiful day out in Valldemossa and Soller, two exquisite towns in the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains.
